Giving

Why we give:

2 Corinthians 9:7: Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Acts 20:35: In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘"it is more blessed to give than to receive".

1 Timothy 6:17-19:  As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.

 GIVE  STOCKS AND MUTUAL FUNDS

Giving appreciated stocks and mutual funds is a great way to maximize your giving because you receive an immediate income tax deduction for the full fair market value of securities you transfer that you’ve held for at least one year.

In addition, you pay no capital gains tax on the difference between your cost
and the fair market value. Consult with your financial and/or tax advisor to analyze your particular situation and confirm tax benefits.

Faithbridge has partnered with Florida Baptist Financial Services to process gifts of marketable securities, such as stocks, mutual funds, or bonds, directly. If you’d like to give a stock, mutual fund, bond, or marketable security gift, please contact Florida Baptist Financial Services by completing their online form  or calling (904) 346-0325 ext. 225 and express your desire to give to Faithbridge.
